Our chefs are Batemans Bay locals who have trained and worked throughout Australia and overseas. For nearly seven years, this highly qualified team has combined their passion for great food and extensive experience with use of quality fresh ingredients – sourced locally whenever possible – to create On The Pier’s unparalleled dining experience.
With four seasonal menus plus daily specials, a highlight is natural oysters fresh from river leases adjacent to the restaurant. We also delight in presenting a small, carefully selected wine list, which comprises several of our regional wineries.
Of course, our cocktails, which may be enjoyed on the under sail bar, are an ideal way to start.

It’s no surprise that Restaurant and Catering NSW has awarded On The Pier the best seafood restaurant on the lower coast every year since 2004. In 2008, On The Pier was runner up to Sydney’s Rockpool in the National Savour Australia Awards as NSW’s best seafood restaurant.
